Bulldogs are not for everybody or better yet not everybody is made for a bulldog!! A bulldog can be a handful to
someone who is not familiar to the breed. The initial price is just the beginning of a long list of expenditures that
will have to be made in the years to come.
Bulldogs tend to overheat quite easily, specially in those hot summer days. Take special precautions when walking
your dog in hot days. Make sure they have plenty of cold water and if outside a nice cool shady area. At the same
time, a cold day or night can be just as damaging to a Bully. The reason for this is the way their noses are
designed. The shortness of it does not allow for the air coming into the lungs to either cool or heat.
The folds on the bulldogs face must be kept clean and dry. Failure to do so might cause yeast infections that
would soon turn to visits to your vet. I would recommend using an unscented baby wipe and a napkin afterwards to
keep them clean and dry. This must be done at least 3-4 times a week.
The same care must be taken to the tail pockets. These areas usually go unnoticed until they are too late. I
usually get in there during bath time and try to take out any dry poop or dead hair that accumulates. Sometimes if
you see your doggy scooting his butt across the floor, this might be a sign that it needs to be cleaned.
Bathe your Bully as often as necessary. My dogs are water freaks. If I'm out on the yard watering plants, they will
do everything possible to get me to get them wet.
Bullies like to sleep a lot!!! I think we all know that. They will find their favorite part of the house and yard and just
sleep. They snore and fart also. I have had room cleared by my Gambler.
After all is said and done, I do not think there is a better breed than the Bulldog Breed. If you have any questions
pleases call or email us, I know this description is very short, I will try to update with information when time allows.
